Who is responsible
QWID Foundation operates the website at qwid.org. For any question about this notice or about your data, write to , or use the contact form.
Cookies and local storage
None are used. The site stores nothing on your device — no cookies, no
localStorage, no sessionStorage, no fingerprinting. Because
nothing is stored and nothing non-essential is loaded, no consent banner is required and
none is shown.
Google Analytics was previously embedded on this site and was removed in August 2026, together with the cookies it set. No analytics product replaced it.
What your browser loads
Everything this site needs comes from our own servers. No other company receives a request when you open a page here, so your IP address is never disclosed to a third party just for reading.
- Fonts and scripts are served from our own servers — qwid.org and explorer.qwid.org — not from a content-delivery network. Sites that pull fonts from an external CDN hand your IP address to that provider on every visit; these do not.
- Live network figures on the home page — block height, supply, validators — are fetched from explorer.qwid.org, which is also ours and logs requests exactly as described below. Block scripts and the figures simply do not appear; nothing else changes.
Links pointing off the site, such as GitHub, LinkedIn or X, are ordinary links. Nothing reaches those services unless you click, and from that point their own privacy terms apply.
Server logs
The web server records each request, as web servers do. Unless you write to us, this is the only personal data processed here.

The lawful basis is legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are not used to build profiles, are not combined with any other source, and are not sold or shared. They are disclosed only if a competent authority compels it by law.
If you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, e-mail address, an optional subject and your message. Those details are used for one purpose: to read your message and reply to it. Nothing is added to a mailing list, and writing to us does not sign you up for anything.

Messages are delivered to support@qwid.org using Amazon Simple Email Service, so Amazon Web Services carries them in transit and processes them on our behalf as our provider. No other company is involved, and the form does not route through a personal mailbox.
Blockchain data is not covered by this notice
The QWID network is a public blockchain. Addresses, transactions and balances are replicated across every node by design, and nothing published to a blockchain can be edited or erased — not by QWID Foundation and not by anyone else. This is a property of the technology, not a policy choice.
QWID Foundation does not operate a wallet service on your behalf and never receives your private keys or recovery phrase: they stay in your wallet, encrypted, and are never transmitted to the network. Consider carefully what you attach to an address, because it is permanent and public.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to the personal data held about you, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to or use the contact form.
In practice the only data held is the server log described above, which is identifiable solely by IP address — so a request needs to reach us within the 14-day retention window to be actionable.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), uodo.gov.pl.
Changes
If the site ever starts using analytics, embedding third-party content, or storing anything on your device, this page will be updated before that change goes live, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
